The name

Why “Kenatus”?

Ken

From Kenpo (拳法)

Ken means “fist.” Po means “law” or “method.” Kenpo is the physical discipline — the strikes, the tactics, the continuous motion and adaptation. It is the how of the art.

Atus

From Conatus

Conatus is the philosophical concept of the innate drive to persist in being — the biological and psychological engine that keeps a person standing, adapting, and growing. It is the why.

Kenatus

“The Law of Striving” — The Fist That Persists

Kenatus isn’t just a name. It’s a philosophy: you aren’t just practicing a set of moves — you’re practicing the art of increasing your own power to exist and act in the world. Life isn’t about defending against what happens to you. It’s about the Self-Offense of striving forward with purpose.
